POT Movie

I love the opening of the film Contact (and the fact that the film references Pensacola, Fl which is where I was living when the movie was released). It was interesting to see the concept that inspired Contact's opening sequence and similar scenes in other films, commercials, etc.

Watching this film made me wonder if it was also the inspiration for sequences where, for example, you see a bird on a branch, and the camera pulls out and you realize the bird is a part of a painting and then the camera pulls out further to reveal the painting is hanging on a wall inside of a house and then it's revealed that the house is actually a doll house and then we discover that the doll house is inside of a real house that looks exactly like the doll house and just to the left of the real house is a bird on a branch in a tree in the front yard.
