HAP Codec and Syphon

When looking up HAP i learned that it is a codec that reduced the CPU used to play video. This is important for us when working with our midterm projects on Isadora. Reducing CPU makes it possible to work with multiple high resolution videos at a time, like were doing with layering example films last class. I imagine our films might be more complicated and the HAP will be a valuable asset.

Syphon works with Mac OS X to get applications to share frames and stills. I can see this being useful to further investigate for our project as well since we will be mixing movement and stills and even creating stills from movement.
