This is called a patch because back in the day, there were cables that would literally be patched by an operator to another location. This is the digital version.

The most important thing: OBJECT Command +1 /Command +E for Mac to go in and out of edit

To connect, hover over bottom of Message to top of

CTRL D – Duplicates.

How to adjust the number: Hold down the shift key.

To change the color, click where it reads the color, change red to green by altering the number from

1 0 0 to 0 1 0.

o   Midi operates between 0 and 127, and therefore has 128 values.

 

Change the shape. Go back to the original “Red Square” patch page. Change the shape from “square” to “cube 3”. If you have encountered a black box, make sure everything is lowecase.

Get 20 .jpg that are 512 x 512 that are textures. Resize in photoshop or Gimp. Rename them in a specific naming sequence


Get Maya with 10 models; .obj’s

Play with polygonal primitives with Maya 1.3 tutorial.


(Optional) Get 123D Catch for your iPhone. Save your objects to play.
